Product Details

This is a phenomenal brand new time capsule of a location. Steeped in history and lost in time for nearly 15 years.

A stone Tudor Manor was built by the Powell family on site. In 1720 it was sold to the 'Hope' family, it was later inherited by Hannah Jones of Trefonnen who's family owned the land where Llandrindod Wells Mineral Springs were found in the 1730's.

In 1787 Thomas Jones Inherited the house, Thomas Jones was a famous Welsh Landscape Painter. In the early 1800's the house was passed to Thomas Jones Daughter and in 1832- 1839 the house was remodelled in the Tudorbethan style.

In 1863 Clara Thomas , the Grand-Daughter of Thomas Jones's widow was the last gentry to live at the house and carried out further improvements. In 1914 Clara dies and her estate was divided amongst her family. The Evan- Thomas family bought and restored the house and used it as a shooting estate.

In 1958 the house was sold at auction and a lady called Margaret Carrel bought it, she owned it until 1978

In the early 1980's the Cook family owned, lived and ran the house as a hotel for over 20 years.

Local stories suggest that the house is haunted by Clara Thomas , the focal point for strange activity has been centred around the staircase.

Whilst spending time working in this location we have heard a few bangs, movement, a member of our team had her arm touched and we've also seen shadows.

Come and join us at this incredible location as we try to communicate with the ghostly occupants
